How did you hear about Project KengiKAT?
When I became a friend of Kengi on Gay Travellers Network.com
This is NOT an adult site. No porno will be allowed. All pictures must be G rated and no PORN of any kind is allowed. In doing so you will be banned and reported to ning. In addition all pictures and artwork must be yours and you must have the right to use it. You must also post YOUR picture to your profile. Do you fully understand this?
Yes
What are some of your thoughts or views on homelessness?
Having read Kengi's blog posts, I was dismayed but not surprised, about the treatment that Kengi and others have received from those in authority. Such people have immense powers to make a difference to everyone that they come into contact with, but do not seem to have the will or the compassion to make that difference.
What are some of your thoughts or views on gays and lesbians?
I am out, gay and very proud to be so!
What are your thoughts and views on HIV/AIDS?
An unfortunate but very big cock-up in Nature's scheme of things, but thnakfully there are some great people out there who are working very hard to educate, find a solution to push back the advance of HIV worldwide
If you could change one thing about the world we live in what would it be?
The banishment of war
Tell us something about yourself
After losing my partner of 28 years to a sudden and unexpected illness, I had the opportunity to take early retirement and move to Gran Canaria. England had nothing left for me and I do not regret the move. I have met lots of interesting people here and made many friends. Life here is much more free and unrestrictive and the Spanish have a more humane approach to life in general.
Project KengiKat is a peaceful respectful place. Please do not cause problems or attack anyone or your membership will be banned. Do you understand this?
Yes

The passion of Tom Duane

Kengi, I do not often blog here unless I think it is something worthwhile that I feel should be shared with you and everyone in the site. This video is spine tingling stuff and worth watching ALL the way through. Dontcha just wish there was a Tom Duane in every state senate across America and in every government around the world? Powerful stuff indeed.

Grab a cup of coffee or a glass of something cold, because you must sit down, get comfy and watch this 22 minute video from start to fini… Continue

California HIV emergency - a blog post from Mike Tidmus of San Diego

Kengi - what can one say? I have posted this blog from Mike (I hope that he doesn't mind me using it!!!). I had to put this in as it seems to be yet another horror story from the Sunshine State. At the very least it shows that you are not alone......................

"I had a CT scan and doctor appointments yesterday because I have pneumonia and I’ve had constant fevers for the last three weeks. I forgot to bring the mail in until late last night, and I discovered that, as part of Arnie a… Continue

Good vibes for gay jazz artist

The big deal about being openly gay in the jazz world in 2009 may just be that it's no big deal.

Multiple Grammy Award winner Gary Burton, who lives in Poinsettia Park in Fort Lauderdale and will be a guest of the South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble Sunday at Broward Center for the Performing Arts, feared the worst when he came out in the 1980s. The vibraphonist, who found fame in the 1960s and '70s alongside such progressive-jazz heavyweights as Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and Larry Coryell, brough… Continue

Documentary:- Sex Positive and Richard Berkowitz

Sex Positive examines the life work of safe sex advocate Richard Berkowitz. In the early 1980’s Berkowitz fought an uphill struggle in the gay community as he tried to persuade gay men to use a condom. He was often ridiculed or seen as a hypocrite. As an ex-hustler, Berkowitz became all to aware of the dangers of unprotected sex in the early 80’s and… Continue
